Independent Traveller-Among the many natural attractions, waterfalls are included in the list of tourist destinations with high 'magnetic' power and are a favorite choice of tourists who take a vacation in Aceh.

Not surprisingly, the water that pours from a height of up to tens of meters is not only fresh but also presents an amazing panorama.

The Samahani area, Kuta Malaka District, Aceh Besar Regency, keeps the beauty of offerings from nature.

Behind the Kuta Malaka mountain, as local residents say, there is a 7-level waterfall. From there, we can take our eyes off the beautiful face of Banda Aceh City. There is a green Teletubbies hill spread out on the top of Mount Kuta Malaka.

The Kuta Malaka waterfall is located at the foot of the Kuta Malaka mountain which is part of the Bukit Barisan cluster, Aceh Besar Regency.

The road to the tourist location, which was previously unspoiled by asphalt, is now paved and is a bit nice and not muddy anymore because the red soil condition divides the Kuta Malaka mountain and is opened specifically for access to the waterfall location.

When heading to the top, you must first pass several small rivers and be able to take a break to enjoy the freshness that is splashed by the unspoiled river water.

About 5 Km approaching the location of the waterfall, the road turns uphill and winding. You need a high level of vigilance when driving so you don't fall into the bushes.

The challenge of passing through red soil, uphill roads, and a number of tributaries paid off when you set foot on the peak near the entrance of the waterfall.

This is the right spot to unwind, gaze at the green of the savanna, the beauty of the face of the city of Banda Aceh, and the background of the Malaka Strait that looks faintly blue.

Feel the sensation of being closer to nature that reconciles the soul and calms the mind.

It took about 40 minutes from the entrance to the location of the waterfall. To enter this place, we only need to pay Rp. 5,000 as retribution.

From the entrance to the location of the waterfall we climb 489 stairs. Stairs resembling a path are deliberately designed gently so that they are not too tiring for visitors. The trajectory of the steps taken on foot feels comfortable because it is shaded by shady trees. Here, visitors will be greeted with the whistle of birds that are the songs of Mount Kuta Malaka.

The seven-story Kuta Malaka waterfall reaches the top of the mountains. Each level has a height of 3-6 meters.

Underneath there is a lake with a depth of 100-200 meters and a width of 200-300 meters. Kuta Malaka waterfall is flowed by water from the mountains which is clear and cool. The clear water makes the bottom of the green lake loom to the surface.

Visitors can choose to play slides by sliding from the peak to the lake at each level. You can also choose to swim or soak in a shallow lake.

Enjoying the gurgling water in the window of the birds singing and the gentle stroking of the wind can also be an option. Sip the cool air that suffocates and soothes.
